Making a difference and being a positive force within our community has always been a core value of the O’Shea’s Family of Pubs. It started with a focus on positively impacting every customer that walked through our doors, something as simple as a genuine hello or a handshake across the bar, those small gestures go a long way. As we grew as a company we came to realize that we were fortunate enough to be able to extend these efforts beyond those small gestures and really make an impact by giving back to our community and the people within it in need, so we started a non-profit company to do just that.
We started with helping family members of staffers who had experienced tragedy, injury or illness by hosting Monday Fund Days where we donated 100% of the profit from those days sales to the individual or organization in need. We evolved and added to the Fund Days by finding volunteer opportunities for our staff and owners to go out as a group and help people in the local community and beyond. One year we heard of a family in need of Christmas Gifts so our staffers got together and got the kids some bikes, fast-forward seven years and that one act has evolved into an annual giveaway of over 100 bikes and toys to underprivilaged children in our local community and it gets bigger every year.
Irish Care, Inc. is organized and directed by a committee of our staff members. The projects we take on and the fundraising events we host are 100% employee driven, they champion the cause and as a company we give them the support and tools they need to make a difference.
To date we have donated over $700,000.00 to various individuals and organizations throughout our community.
